GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Johnson County erupted for 18 runs over the first three innings and rolled to a 19-1 victory over Miami Dade in game 15 of the Alpine Bank Junior College World Series.
Johnson County (65-3, 3-0 JUCO) set the tone early with a five-run first inning, highlighted by a three-run double from Boston Bruce. The Cavaliers continued to pour on offense in the second, adding five more runs behind a solo home run from Brayden Giesler and a two-run single from Isaac Pamaran.
Johnson County broke the game open with an eight-run third inning, capped by a grand slam from Pamaran and a solo homer from Ashton Hartwig. Pamaran finished with six RBIs, while Hartwig drove in three runs and Bruce added four RBIs.
Miami Dade (39-19-1, 2-1 JUCO) managed seven hits in the loss, including a fifth-inning solo home run from Nelson Hiraldo to avoid the shutout.
