GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Colorado Rockies fans have grown accustomed to hearing Drew Goodman's signature call of “Take a good look, you won't see it for long!” as home runs fly out of Coors Field.

Goodman, who is in his 23rd year working on Rockies television broadcasts, will be the guest speaker at this year's Alpine Bank Junior College World Series banquet on May 24 at the Grand Junction Convention Center.

“We are excited to have Drew come to share his baseball stories and leadership thoughts,” said JUCO Chairman Jamie Hamilton. “He has a rich history with this event and has helped us promote it over the years. His success in the broadcast booth will also help as he shares his thoughts to all of the student-athletes in attendance.”

From 2002-2004, he pulled double duty by calling the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rockies, calling more than 190 games a year. He spent 10 years on the Nuggets' call before becoming the television voice of the Rockies.

Goodman has a long history with the JUCO World Series, serving as a past emcee of the banquet and broadcasting the championship game on Prime Sports Rocky Mountain with Irv Brown. He's been an advocate of the tournament during his Rockies' broadcasts, welcoming Hamilton into the booth to let viewers know about junior college baseball prior to the tournament.
