The Central Arizona Vaqueros (54-12) are back in Grand Junction for the third consecutive year. The Vaqueros started their season 14-1 and won 20 straight at one point. They won the West coming through the loser's bracket after a second round loss to Salt Lake (UT). They used extra inning magic in the championship game to beat Salt Lake 4-2 in 10 and big bats to take the title 12-4 in the if-game.
Jaylin Rae leads the team in batting average (.381) and hits (85). Teammate Kiki Romero has the big stick, hitting 19 home runs and batting in 73. Romero has a .361 batting average.
