The Pirates of Chattahoochee Valley (48-10) earned their fourth trip to Grand Junction as they powered though a tough Alabama Community College Conference tournament. Chattahoochee Valley topped Wallace-Dothan (AL) 18-2 and Wallace State (AL) 10-5 in the final two games of the tournament. The Pirates have lost three games since March (one per month).
Sophomore Rankin Woley is hitting .458 and leads the Pirates in doubles (26) and runs batted in (89). He also carries a slugging percentage of .776. Jason Rooks, freshman outfielder, leads the team in home runs with 15. As a team, the Pirates are 23
rd in the country in stolen bases with 106. They are hitting .383 with 59 home runs and averaging 8.2 runs per game.
Sophomore Southpaw Cole Ganopulos carries a 1.32 ERA and is 10-0 in 14 starts. In 82 innings pitched, Ganopulos has 83 strikeouts and 13 walks. Jacob Menders, sophomore righty, is 11-1 in 13 starts.
