CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Gulf Coast State College continues to roll through the early portion of the junior college baseball season, and is No. 1 for the second straight week in the NJCAA Division I baseball rankings.

The Commodores are 20-1 and received all eight first-place votes in the Week 2 poll released March 4.

Gaston College (N.C.) is still No. 2, followed by Weatherford College (Texas), with Iowa Western and Pensacola State (Fla.) each moving up one spot to round out the top five.

Gaston, which made its first appearance in the Alpine Bank Junior College World Series last year, is 20-2, with Weatherford, another 2023 JUCO World Series team, 16-4. Iowa Western is 12-4 and Pensacola 20-2.

The JUCO World Series is May 25-June 1 at Suplizio Field in Grand Junction. The pre-tournament banquet is May 24 at the Grand Junction Convention Center.

Fans who had reserved seats in 2023 should have received their ticket renewal information and have until March 25 to receive a 10% discount when they renew their seats. Full-priced renewals are due by April 12, when all remaining reserved seats go on sale to the public. General admission tickets also go on sale April 12; all tickets are sold online only.
