Simmons, head coach at Seminole (Oklahoma) State College, has a remarkable record of 1423 wins while losing only 256 (1997). Simmons’ teams appeared ten times in the past 20 years, finishing second in 1981 and 1982. He has been honored as Coach of the Year six times by the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association.
