Jeff Willis has spent 21 years as head coach at LSU Eunice and 19 years as Athletic Director. Entering the 2023 season, Willis held a 942-213 record with a .815 winning percentage at the helm of the Bengals' program. Under Willis' leadership, LSU Eunice has won seven NJCAA DII Baseball World Series titles, made 10 World Series appearances, claimed 11 Regional Championships, and won 10 District Championships.
The Bengals have established themselves as one of the most dominant junior college programs in the nation under Willis. Since his arrival in 2003, LSU Eunice has never finished the season ranked lower than 7th in the country. Willis has coached 25 NJCAA All-Americans, 60 All-Region players, three National Defensive Players of the Year, and two National Players of the Year. More than 200 of his student-athletes have gone on to play at four-year schools and 57 have been drafted by Major League Baseball (MLB).
Throughout his career, Willis received NJCAA All-Star Team Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2007 and 2008 and then received NJCAA National Team Head Coach in 2010. He was awarded the 2018 College Baseball Hall of Fame Skip Bertman National Coach of the Year, ABCA/Diamond Regional Coach of the Year 11 times, ABCA/Diamond National Coach of the Year seven times, NJCAA Region 23 Coach of the Year 11 times, NJCAA District Coach of the Year 10 times, and NJCAA National Coach of the Year seven times.
